Prior to taking this new role, Grutzmacher served as SALTO’s distribution lead and as a regional sales manager. He has previously served as a branch manager for security sales for Anixter and has an extensive background in access control, CCTV system design, and infrastructure design.
SALTO Systems announce the promotion of Beth Kahwajy Zdrojewski to North America Vertical Business Leader-Hospitality. Prior to taking on this new role, Zdrojewski served as SALTO National Account Manager for Hospitality. SALTO North America Director of Marketing and Vertical Business Steve Burk said the hospitality industry is an important vertical for electronic access control as they continue to leverage added security, operational efficiencies, and guest satisfaction.
SALTO Systems has named Ron Shaffer as the North America Vertical Business Leader-Education. SALTO North America Director of Marketing & Vertical Business, Steve Burk, said access control for education not only makes students, staff, and campuses more secure, it will also drive operational efficiencies, not to mention that it can also be a very attractive draw for students and staff. Shaffer has previously served SALTO as a business development manager and solutions architect technology director.
SALTO Systems has appointed Paul Cannon to the position of Vertical Business Leader-North America for Healthcare. SALTO North America Director of Marketing & Vertical Business Steve Burk said Paul is a great addition to the vertical team. Paul comes to SALTO from ASSA ABLOY, where he served as an electromechanical specialist for over nine years and as northeast regional sales manager for six years. He also served as a regional sales manager for Onity for nearly four years.
SALTO Systems has named Laura Turman as Retail Vertical Leader for North America. Turman has extensive experience in security and has served as regional sales manager for Senstar, regional security expert for Schneider Electric, regional sales manager for Open Options, and as an account executive for Anixter. She has also served as vice president of operations for Ashland Integrated, Inc.
Virdee announced a partnership with SALTO Systems. The integration provides a powerful answer to the market’s demand for contactless arrival options by leveraging Virdee’s advanced ID verification module and the ability for guests to video chat with a remote agent before accessing a property. Under the partnership, SALTO Systems customers can use Virdee Concierge, a cloud-based platform that provides contactless check-in and check-out technology.

Based in Detroit, Matt will oversee sales activity and territory growth in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Eastern Wisconsin. Matt has served as a Regional Account Manager of Libra Industries, Inc. of Michigan and a Sales and Training Representative for Panasonic. He has a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business.

He reports to SALTO’s Senior Vice President of Commercial Sales Michael J. Mahon.
