Milestone Video Helped El Paso Prepare For Papal Visit
Milestone Systems was part of the security setup when Pope Francis visited the US/Mexico border town Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, in 2016. Large crowds of religious followers and the curious alike —estimated to be as many as 200,000— made the pilgrimage to the region for a once-in-a-lifetime chance for many to see the leader of the Catholic Church in person. XProtect video surveillance systems in the neighboring city of El Paso, Texas, were used to help manage the large crowds.

Tokyo-based Entrepreneur Wins Milestone Community Kickstarter Contest
Milestone Systems announced Soko Aoki from Tokyo, Japan, the winner of the Milestone Community Kickstarter Contest 2018 during the community days in Las Vegas in February. Promise Technology announced that its Vess A2330 and Vess A3340 network video recorders (NVRs) have been certified by Milestone Systems for use with the whole range of XProtect® video management software (VMS) products. Both the Vess A2330 and A3340 easily supported the benchmark video data throughput levels as recommended by the Milestone Server and Storage Calculator. In maximum performance testing, it was further determined that the Vess A2330 and A3340 NVRs can support twice the number of cameras as recommended by the calculator.
