US Joint Counter-drone Office Selects Top Teams for Installation Protection

Liteye System’s Inc. in partnership with SAIC was recently selected by the Joint Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Office (JCO) to provide approved Counter UAS services and hardware to the US Government. Antaira Managed Switches Bring Advanced Connectivity to Airport’s Anti-Drone System

Antaira Technologies recently partnered with a Utah-based airspace security and defense company to help implement a digital 3D protective shield to counter illegal entry by drones into a restricted airfield. Because connectivity was critical to the system’s responsiveness, Antaira LMX-1202G-SFP-T Gigabit-managed Ethernet switches were deployed inside multiple tall pillars surrounding the protected airspace. The switches link together dozens of IP video surveillance cameras, computers, and drone detection radar systems to the airport’s central control station.

Dedrone Secures $30.5 Million Series C to Protect Airspace Against Unauthorized Drones

Dedrone announced it has closed a $30.5 million Series C financing round led by Axon. Previous investors, including Aqton Partners, Menlo Ventures, Felicis Ventures, Target Partners, TempoCap and John Chambers, Chairman Emeritus of Cisco Systems and founder of JC2 Ventures, also participated. DHS S&T Tests Innovative Air Domain Awareness Technology

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) is evaluating cutting-edge air domain awareness technologies to support DHS’s mission to protect the airspace along our northern border with Canada. Working with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the U.S. Coast Guard, the Department of Defense, and the Federal Aviation Administration to develop requirements and testing criteria, S&T’s National Urban Security Technology Laboratory led a test team that also included the Montana National Guard, Northern Plains UAS Test Site, and MITRE.

Fortem Technologies Conducts Counter Drone Test For Department Of Defense Customer

Fortem Technologies announced successful performance in detecting small UAS before a team of U.S. Government evaluators based on an Irregular Warfare Technical Support Directorate requirement in May 2021. The event focused on testing various counter UAS systems including the Fortem SkyDome system, TrueView radar and DroneHunter. The Defense Innovation Unit created a test environment to determine how well various counter drone systems would perform in urban environments that make it difficult to detect potential threat UAS.

Dedrone Protects Preakness 146 from Drone Threats
