ISS has released its unique SecurOS Soffit Intelligent system that escorts pedestrians using dynamic illumination to prevent accidents at crosswalks. A recent survey, conducted by the Governors Highway Safety Association, points out that most pedestrian fatalities occur on local roads, at night and away from intersections. This fact suggests the need for safer road crossings and increased efforts to make pedestrians and vehicles more visible.
