Bluffton Self Help has gone high tech with an Iris ID® iris recognition system tracking the hours of paid staff and volunteers. An Iris ID iCAM R100 camera replaces mag stripe cards, said Tony O’Brien, president of Sourcecode LLC, a South Carolina-based software development firm. He designed the iris system, as well as a computer network and telephone system for Bluffton Self Help. The iris-based system saved Bluffton Self Help from purchasing and printing new and replacement ID cards for the five paid staff members and more than 250 volunteers who regularly use the system.

The two management systems —using Iris ID’s biometric identity solution— will be showcased Sept. 25-27 at the Global Security Exchange (GSX) in Las Vegas. Real Time Networks’ modular key management cabinets and electronic asset lockers employ custom modular designs to protect keys and other valuable assets used by law enforcement, utilities, manufacturing, government, correctional facilities, hospitality, gaming, and many other industries.

Iris ID announced its iCAM R100 face and iris cameras will be integrated into Mentalix, Inc.’s Fed Submit suite of live scan solutions. Fed Submit, currently employed by civilian and law enforcement agencies across the county, provides users with intuitive, multi-modal booking and background check systems. Mentalix, headquartered in Dallas, is an industry leader in FBI-certified identification software. Iris ID’s IrisAccess™ iCAM R100 cameras will now be made available with Mentalix Fed Submit live scan stations, operating alongside standard fingerprint scanners so iris information may be shared with the FBI as part of its NGI (Next Generation Identification) program.
Iris ID announced its iris recognition cameras will be incorporated into time and attendance clocks from SimplyWork, a provider of cloud-based time and attendance and other workforce management applications. The new timeclocks will be showcased at ISC West 2018. The SimplyWork biometric time clock uses employees’ iris biometrics to authenticate their identity as they begin and end work each day. Iris ID’s IrisAccess™ iCAM R100 cameras are built into the clocks to provide a fast, accurate and non-contact method of reporting time worked.
