Honeywell Building Technologies announced the launch of its new catalyst Partner Program (CPP), a customer-centric global framework to better support the growth and success of its system integrator, distributor and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners. The new global program streamlines previous channel partner program experiences across the Honeywell Fire, Security and Building Management Systems (BMS) businesses to help improve end customer standard of care and create greater efficiencies through a new digital platform.
Honeywell announced a strategic investment in RapidSOS, as well as technology integrations between the two companies that will further modernize and digitize the public safety communications process. RapidSOS is the emergency response data platform used by more than 5,200 emergency communications centers (ECCs) worldwide. The existing communications infrastructure between buildings, alarm monitoring stations, emergency centers and fire stations often uses legacy, manual technology, which slows response times and affects the accuracy of transmitted information.
Honeywell announced it has agreed to acquire privately held US Digital Designs for a purchase multiple of ~14X EBITDA in an all-cash transaction. The company delivers alerting and dispatch communications solutions, which enhance first responders’ efficacy and enable faster emergency response times. US Digital Designs’ EBITDA margins are accretive to Honeywell, and Honeywell is expected to achieve a return on investment of greater than 25% by the fifth year that US Digital Designs is part of Honeywell.

Honeywell International unveiled a corporate makeover today that will tie its growth more strongly to aerospace technology and spin off other businesses as two publicly-traded companies by the end of 2018. The US-based wholesale distributor ADI has named Michael Flink as president of ADI Global. ADI, part of the Honeywell Security Group (HSG), will operate globally, and Flink will lead all ADI businesses across the Americas, EMEA, and India.
