This electronic customs procedure system utilizes NEC’s face recognition technology.
Networked Video Solution from Bosch for Outstanding Security at the Hockenheimring in Germany
Motorsport and running events, driving safety courses, and open-air concerts: the Hockenheimring south of Mannheim, Germany spans nearly 97 hectares with a motor racing circuit length of nearly five kilometers. The grandstands have room for 120,000 spectators, and they will once again be filled to capacity when fans crowd in to watch the big motor racings. The Hockenheimring welcomes more than 700,000 visitors a year.

Danish Superliga football club Br?ndby IF?s stadium is the first in Denmark to utilize facial recognition technology, provided by Panasonic, to ensure a safer stadium experience and alleviate the strain placed on staff during high profile matches. The system is being deployed to automate the process of identifying blacklisted persons and prevent them from entering the stadium, a task which was previously undertaken manually by security personnel.
Canada – Netherlands Biometric Program Will Facilitate Paperless Cross-border Travel
Vision-Box and partners have signed an agreement to officially launch the “Known Traveler Digital Identity” service, which will facilitate paperless border clearance between Canada and The Netherlands. The program will allow travelers flying between the two countries to enjoy a seamless journey, whereby a simple face scan will be enough to identify the passengers boarding a plane at departure, and to clear immigration on arrival.
