ONVIF Hosts 14th Developers’ Plugfest In London

ONVIF®, the leading global standardization initiative for IP-based physical security products, hosted its 14th Developers’ Plugfest June 1-3 in Brentford, West London, at the Holiday Inn London – Brentford Lock. With multiple testings of ONVIF conformant products, the Developers’ Plugfest included interoperability testing for all six ONVIF profiles, including Profiles Q and A, which are both scheduled for final release in 2016, and Profile T, ONVIF’s newest profile for video that is currently in development.

According to a report from IHS, the market size of global video management software is expected to exceed $3 billion by 2018, and the Chinese market is growing the fastest among them. Milestone Systems and Genetec, which are the two important video management software suppliers of the world, have a big part of the Global market share. Industry consolidation among video software and hardware manufacturers has forced the VMS to evolve from a pure software product with per-channel licensing fee models to a more appliance oriented industry with capacity and features controlled by the appliance.

Point Greys New 1080p60 Cricket IP-Camera

The new Cricket CR-POE-20S3C model features a 1/2″ Sony IMX185 Exmor CMOS sensor capable of 1920 x 1080 resolution at 60 FPS. EIZO Broadens IP Camera Compatibility of DuraVision FDF2304W-IP Security and Surveillance Monitor With ONVIF Support

EIZO Corporation announced that the DuraVision FDF2304W-IP 23-inch IP monitor for security and surveillance will be updated to support the Open Network Video Interface Forum (ONVIF), a global standard for the interface of IP-based security products.

The DuraVision FDF2304W-IP features connection to multiple IP cameras via LAN cable for efficient video monitoring without the need for a PC. The monitor was launched in February of 2014 supporting compatibility with Panasonic brand cameras. With the update, ONVIF support broadens compatibility to extend to other major global camera makers including Axis, Bosch, Sony, and JVC. D-Link announced it is now shipping a new HD Indoor Mini Dome Camera (DCS-6004L), delivering high quality video in a compact dome form factor. The new camera offers 1280 x 800 resolution, a built-in microphone, and integrated infrared illumination for seeing in complete darkness.
