Jim brings a wealth of experience having had successful positions at Software House, Sensormatic, Tyco International and Johnson Controls. While at Software House, Jim led the sales and marketing efforts to build the business from $2 million to $120 million in North America.

This purchase will enhance ACRE’s strategic expansion plans for strengthening its access control business and product portfolio. ACRE announced that ACRE, Vanderbilt and its subsidiaries, has entered into a strategic alliance with AlertEnterprise to expand and diversify technology options for customers. The AlertEnterprise suite of security convergence software, including its Physical Identity and Access Management (PIAM) solution, combined with the Vanderbilt Security Management Solution (SMS), will offer predictive analytics, compliance and advanced insider threat management capabilities to customers.
ACRE announced the promotion of Andrew Acquarulo Jr. as President of ACRE Americas. Ronald Virden, who was recently named ACRE COO, will also assume the role of President of ACRE International. The evolution of the company’s leadership roles will allow ACRE to refocus its efforts based on geographic regions, allowing greater alignment between its Vanderbilt and ComNet brands in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and APAC. Virden will also remain COO of ACRE.
ACRE, announced the appointment of Ronald Virden as Chief Operating Officer, effective April 1, 2018. With extensive experience in senior leadership roles with global entities, Virden will help to elevate ACRE’s position in the electronic security marketplace, seek new opportunities for growth, and strengthen the momentum following recent strategic deals. Virden is a seasoned global executive with extensive experience with Fortune 50 organizations. He most recently served as President and Managing Director for Global Security Products, Americas/Global Access Solutions at UTC.

Mr. Barnette has more than two decades of experience in the security and access control industry, where he has focused on driving innovation, strategy and customer-lead profitability for a number of organizations. Prior to Mercury Security, he served as President of AMAG Technology, a leading provider of access control, video management and end-to-end security management solutions, owned by the UK parent company G4S.
