Alcatraz has added Three Factor Authentication (3FA) to the Rock facial authentication platform to deliver the ultimate in protection for high security areas and zero trust environments. The Rock can be used for one, two or three factor authentication. In one-factor authentication, the Rock is the primary access control device and facially authenticates authorized users. In two-factor authentication, the Rock is used in combination with a badge reader to grant access.
Alcatraz AI announced that it has achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification for its Information Security Management System. The ISO 27001:2013 certification is an international standard designed to help create a robust ISMS that helps ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive company and customer information. A-lign has certified that Alcatraz has the proper technical controls and formalized IT security policies and procedures in place to protect it from unauthorized access or compromise.

Alcatraz has named Sarah Lawler-Muzquiz as Director of Channel Sales. Lawler-Muzquiz is the latest addition to the team for Alcatraz. Based in Los Angeles, Lawler-Muzquiz builds influential, executive-level relationships and drives sales, marketing, account management, and technical training in the engineering, construction, and integrator channels for end users. Lawler-Muzquiz joins Alcatraz from Johnson Controls where she served in various roles, including Account Executive for Building/Connected Technologies, Strategic Owner Account Manager, and Sales Engineer.
Alcatraz has moved both its Silicon Valley headquarters and its Sofia, Bulgaria, satellite office into new locations. The move helps accommodate the growing Alcatraz teams both in the United States and abroad as the security startup launches its newest product –the Alcatraz Rock with tailgating– this summer.
