CAIR-Washington, Civil Rights Groups Call on Biden to Halt Federal Use of Facial Recognition Technology
The Washington state chapter of the CAIR joined a coalition of more than 40 organizations calling on President Biden to take executive action imposing a federal moratorium on the use of facial recognition technology. The letter, sent by CAIR-Washington, the ACLU, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, and Amnesty International, among others, urges the Biden administration to take steps addressing the use of facial recognition technology by the government.
