Sonitrol of SW Ohio has acquired Sonitrol of Butler County and their non-Sonitrol company Southwestern Ohio Security. The acquisition officially closed effective July 6th. The firm, that operates an independent franchise of Sonitrol, has served the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky areas since 1971. The expansion is reflective of both their ongoing commitment to local and surrounding communities as well as a market need in both the residential and commercial security sectors.

US conglomerate Motorola has acquired Edinburgh Scotland-based video security company IndigoVision, in a deal worth £30.4 million. The acquisition price of approximately US$4.90 per share represents a premium of approximately 129% to the closing price of US$2.14 per IndigoVision Share.Motorola Solutions, a global provider of mission-critical communications and analytics, has a strong presence in the large and expanding area of physical security and video surveillance.

The Boards of Directors of both companies unanimously approved the transaction. L3Harris’ Security Detection and Automation businesses provide airport and critical infrastructure screening products, automated tray return systems and other industrial automation products.

ASSA ABLOY has acquired LifeSafety Power, a leading US supplier of smart integrated access control power solutions for OEMs, integrators and end-users. LifeSafety Power was established in 2009 and has some 65 employees. The main office is located in Libertyville, Illinois. Sales for 2019 are expected to reach about USD 30 million with a good EBIT margin and the acquisition will be accretive to EPS from start.
