Calipsa Integrates with Milestone’s XProtect Corporate VMS

Calipsa announced the compatibility of its false alarm reduction platform with Milestone Systems’ XProtect Corporate VMS designed for use by organizations such as airports and train terminals. XProtect Corporate’s enterprise users deploy large numbers of cameras and will benefit from Calipsa’s 90 percent false alarm reduction rate. Calipsa and Digital Watchdog have integrated Calipsa’s false alarm filtering analytics with DW’s Spectrum IPVMS video management platform. Calipsa’s false alarm reduction software is compatible with all Spectrum cameras and is quick and easy to deploy with no hardware required. Once an alarm is triggered on a connected camera, Spectrum servers send video to a Calipsa cloud-based server where algorithms look for human and vehicle movement before returning genuine alarms and filtering out those that are false.

Calipsa Survey Shows Video Monitoring Centers Surviving COVID-19

Owners and managers of video monitoring centers have generally fared well during the COVID-19 pandemic, with nearly half increasing business according to a recent international survey conducted by Calipsa. The Calipsa Video Monitoring Report 2020 found 47% of respondents said the pandemic had stimulated business growth, providing an average 33% increase in clients and a 30% boost in revenue. More than a third (37%) of businesses reported no change in performance.
