Veracity will reveal a significant expansion of its COLDSTORE range of specialised IP video storage solutions. This includes the market introduction of COLDSTORE Colossus, a solution designed for very long-term retention of large volume sets of security video. Veracity will also announce embedded NVR functionality across the entire range of COLDSTORE products, including current models. This allows video to be recorded directly from camera to COLDSTORE storage without the need for a separate NVR product. With 45 disk bays, COLDSTORE Colossus is designed for projects which require high capacity, long-term retention of video data.

VideoEdge TrickleStor Technology Maintains Video Surveillance System Integrity

Johnson Controls has introduced VideoEdge® TrickleStor, designed to maintain the integrity of video data in a surveillance system in the event of network connectivity loss. TrickleStor provides a highly-integrated camera and network video recorder (NVR) connectivity solution between VideoEdge® NVRs and Illustra® IP cameras that records video locally on Illustra cameras in the event of a connection failure, protecting against video loss in the case of NVR updates or network outage.

BCDVideo Partners With Centerprise International For EMEA Integration

BCDVideo announced that it has contracted UK-based Centerprise International to build BCDVideo video recording systems for shipment into the EMEA marketplace. The two companies combine over fifty years of server building experience – both sharing Intel, Microsoft, and VMware certifications. Johnson Controls announced that its VideoEdge network video recording platform from American Dynamics is the first product to be officially certified as meeting the highest level of third-party cybersecurity standards from UL (Underwriters Laboratories) for Life Safety and Security, UL2900-2-3. UL’s Cybersecurity Assurance Program (UL CAP) tests network-connectable products and systems against established criteria from the UL 2900 series of cybersecurity standards. The UL CAP program also assesses a manufacturer’s processes for cybersecure product development, incident response and internal ongoing testing and evaluation of security vulnerabilities of products.
